Julia Whitehead Discusses How Kurt Vonnegut and Her Local Writing Community Have Influenced Her - podcast

Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library founder and CEO, Julia Whitehead, started her writing career as a newspaper columnist and magazine writer, then moved on to work as a corporate medical writer and editor. An avid fan of Vonnegut's work, she founded the museum in 2011 which left little time for her own creative writing. An opportunity to participate in a writing workshop through the Indiana Writers Center inspired her to revisit creative writing and gave her an even greater appreciation for Vonnegut's work and her foundation's programs. As a new writer, don't underestimate the power of local writing groups and other resources to guide and inspire you.
