Looking back at what he knows now versus what he knew starting out as a writer, Chrome Oxide says he wishes he had known how hard it can be to find success as a writer. This wouldn't have deterred him, but would have made him feel better prepared. He knew he wasn't the strongest writer, but kept working at his craft and now has an impressive portfolio of short stories and novels. One nice surprise that he's discovered along the way is that if you work with a professional book editor, it can greatly increase your chances of getting picked up by a publisher.
