Switching Careers to be an Author - video
P.J. Hoover never had dreams of becoming an author. In fact, she fell into writing; she had a full-time job as an engineer and two children--it never dawned on her to pick up a new a new project. But with free time on her hands and having immersed herself in J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings trilogy, she wondered if she could create her own world. Hoover began to write for a few hours every night and soon realized she could. She credits her engineering background for maintaining discipline to keep moving forward.

P.J. Hoover, your story sounds so much like ours (me and my co-author / Battle Brother). I thank you for your help in refocusing our efforts in our book. We hope to be able to have it completed and published by Christmas 2014...if all goes well.

You inspired me to get started on my 2nd book! A magazine article from "The Writer" inspired me to finish my first book. It was entitled "Write Your Book In Bite-sized Chunks." So, I said "I can do that!" My book has gone live now, and I can't wait to see how it will be accepted. - Diane Hemphill
