Three Ways to Approach Online Publicity - video

Laura Rossi Totten, founder of Laura Rossi Public Relations, provides examples of effective online publicity strategies for authors. Online publicity can come from different sources. First, there are digital versions of traditional media, such as Time.com, NPR.org, and NewYorkTimes.com. Second, there is platform building—this involves the author building their brand. As an author, the main parts of your online platform is your website, blog, and social media presence. One of the most incredible tools that authors have at their disposal are social media campaigns. A campaign can be made of many parts or one initiative, such as a book giveaway on Facebook, pre-release giveaways on Goodreads, or a blog tour. All of these examples are powerful and impactful ways to define PR strategy in the digital space.
