Carl Prude Jr. on His Inspiration and Writing Process for His Book, "Anchored in Light"

The book writing process for author, speaker, and president of The Work Life Company Carl Prude Jr. began at his father’s funeral. Prude delivered a eulogy, and attendees later asked for the eulogy in writing or on a recording. The speech had clearly connected with listeners, so Prude decided to expand upon his ideas in a book, which would become Anchored in Light. He would wake up every day at 3 a.m. and write for three hours. Prude was a pastor at the time, so he was used to putting together messages and was already working on other writing projects, so he didn’t find it very difficult to transform his ideas into a book.
