Today’s market is saturated with content, and it’s important that authors have an extensive writing portfolio. This will demonstrate experience and a large range that agents and publishers will appreciate. Plus, it helps build a platform and a brand. Some authors’ writing processes, though, are slow. This makes it difficult to create a lot of great content. Erik Deckers, author and president of Pro Blog Service, explains three tips that any writer can incorporate into their writing habits, regardless of individual process, to help them write faster. First, he recommends that authors learn to type fast. There are different ways that you can do this. For example, find online writing programs and break your bad habits. Second, authors can try outlining what they want to say. This can be a formal outline or something you’ve thought about for a while. Third, take notes.
